Heather Cronemiller MA, LICSW, CSAT

You are probably here because you are desperate for help and unsure where to turn. You might even feel crazy, broken, and alone. But you’re not.

I’ve worked with people overcoming love and sex addiction for over five years and helped people just like you show up in their lives the way they want to —as a healthy partner, parent, or loved one.

I have worked in the mental health field for over 15 years and have gained a wealth of knowledge throughout that time. I am a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT), which means that I have been trained in the Gold Standard techniques for the treatment of love addiction, porn addiction, and sex addiction. I am also the co-author of the book, Going Deeper for Women: How Your Inner Child Impacts Your Love and Sex Addiction, as well as the corresponding workbook, alongside Dr. Eddie Capparucci and Lacy Bentley.

Outside of being a therapist, I have been married to my husband for 17 years and am a mother to two wonderful kids. If I’m not working or with family, I am probably taking care of my farm animal friends at Farmaste Animal Sanctuary in Lindstrom, MN, chatting with friends, or out exploring in the woods.

Meet Our Clinical Partners

At Oak Haven Counseling, we recognize that overcoming sexual addiction, betrayal trauma, and couples’ recovery from betrayal requires a specialized and highly attuned approach. That’s why we’ve assembled an outstanding team of clinicians, each holding advanced certifications and sharing a deep commitment to supporting individuals and couples on their path to healing and growth.

Why Work with Certified Specialists?

Therapy for sexual addiction, betrayal trauma, and couples’ recovery from betrayal is a highly intricate area of mental health that requires advanced training and specialized certification. At Oak Haven Counseling we take pride in holding the most respected credentials in the field, including CSAT (Certified Sex Addiction Therapist), CPTT (Certified Partner Trauma Therapist), and the upcoming CCBRT (Couples Certified Betrayal Recovery Therapist).

These prestigious certifications, considered the gold standard in the profession, involve extensive training, clinical experience, and supervised practice. A prime example of this expertise is the Full Formal Disclosure—a vital aspect of betrayal trauma recovery. This structured, multi-faceted healing process is exclusive to IITAP (International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals) and can only be facilitated ethically and effectively by certified CSATs and CPTTs.
