Full Disclosure Process

It’s so important that you disclose your acting-out behaviors to a partner the RIGHT way. Trying to disclose everything you have done outside the bounds of your relationship by yourself or with an untrained provider will only lead to more heartache.

The full, formal disclosure consists of three stages: 1) The person who cheated or abused pornography writes out a structured document outlining the acting out behaviors and shares it with partner. 2) The partner experiencing betrayal completes an impact letter, outlining the hurt they’ve experienced due to the acting out. 3) The addict writes a restitution letter as a part of making amends to partner

*** A majority of the services will be provided via telehealth. In-person options may available. It is recommended that the disclosure process be done in person. There will be an additional charge for travel. I travel from Isanti, MN and am happy to drive to clients, including clients in Minneapolis/St Paul, St Cloud, Duluth, and Rochester MN.

***Please note that Cronemiller Counseling is not in-network with any insurance plans. You may be able to receive reimbursement from your insurance provider using your out-of-network benefits. Medicaid and Medicare plans do not take superbills and Cronemiller Counseling is not a Medicaid or Medicare provider***

FAQs About Our Services For Sex Addiction and Betrayal Trauma

  • The Full Formal Disclosure is a structured, 3-stage clinical process designed to restore honesty to a relationship after betrayal. It includes:

    1. The Disclosure Document: A detailed account of acting-out behaviors prepared by the addict.

    2. The Impact Letter: A written account of the hurt and trauma experienced by the partner.

    3. The Restitution Letter: A formal amends process.

    4. Heather Cronemiller facilitates this process to ensure it is done safely and correctly, preventing further trauma.

  • While weekly sessions provide ongoing support, Individual Intensives are specifically tailored for deep, accelerated work. These 2–4 day programs (conducted in 2–4 hour blocks) allow clients to dive into the 30-Task Model or Inner Child Healing without the interruption of a week-long gap. This "Jump-Start" model is ideal for clients in crisis or those wanting to fast-track their recovery milestones.

  • Yes. Most services, including addiction and betrayal trauma recovery, are provided via a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. This allows residents in Minneapolis, Duluth, St. Paul, and Rochester to access specialized CSAT care from home. For certain processes like the Full Disclosure, in-person sessions may be recommended, with travel options available from Isanti, MN.

  • Cronemiller Counseling is an out-of-network provider and does not participate in any insurance plans, including Medicaid or Medicare. However, you may be able to receive reimbursement using your out-of-network benefits. We can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement.

  • Developed by Dr. Patrick Carnes and IITAP, the 30-Task Model is the gold-standard framework for sex addiction recovery. As a CSAT (Certified Sex Addiction Therapist), Heather Cronemiller uses this structured methodology to help clients move through the stages of breaking the addiction cycle, managing triggers, and building healthy, authentic intimacy.
